Since being elected, Chris has made it a priority to not only remain involved in our community, but to listen to the concerns of families, parents, small business owners, and teachers and find solutions to these concerns.
Chris Blackshear is a lifelong East Alabama leader serving House District 80 with a record of proven results. A former Phenix City Council member and Mayor Pro Tempore, Chris spent nearly three decades in the private sector at TSYS before bringing that real-world experience to Montgomery.
As Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, he fights for stronger communities, fiscal responsibility, and opportunity in Lee and Russell counties. Chris and his family live in Smiths Station, and are active members of the East Alabama community, helping them staying rooted in the values that make our area great.
